TCLF ONE-ON-ONE| Ep.4 Mr. Shivam Singh: Sports Law and COVID’s Impact on the Sports Industry

We are pleased to bring to you all the 4th Episode of TCLF One-on-One. We were honoured to host Mr. Shivam Singh as our guest for the 4th Episode. Mr. Shivam Singh completed his undergraduate law degree from the National Law School, Bangalore and went on to pursue a Masters in Dispute Resolution from Columbia Law School. He was then a Sports Law Research Fellow at Harvard Law School. Since 2014, he has been practicing at the Delhi High Court and Supreme Court and is currently associated with Chamber 20A, a leading litigation chamber set in the capital. His work spans across commercial and criminal matters, and he has appeared in cases such as the coal scam trial and the PIL that led to the inclusion of Mandatory Sports Arbitration Clauses. He has represented athletes, sports associations and sports broadcasters, and is one of the leading sports lawyers in the country.


Conversation in the fourth episode is based on the theme: Sports Law and Understanding the implications of Covid-19 on the Sports Industry. Mr. Singh talks about his first encounter with sports law as a subject, changes in viewership trends, impact of Covid-19 player agreements and much more.
